I’m a journalist, student and mother from Melbourne. This blog is about my experiences- good and bad- of navigating the digital world professionally and personally
So let me tell you a little bit about me.
I’ve been working in journalism for 10 years, mostly in suburban media. Over the years, I’ve watched the industry evolve, with newsrooms slowly embracing the digital age. As such, I’m interested in learning new ways journalists can reach their audiences through social media.
Earlier this year, I enrolled in post graduate study at Deakin University to allow me to build on my digital skills.
I’m also a mum to a four-year-old, meaning there are times when juggling work, study and family life isn’t easy but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Studying is proving to be a very rewarding experience- and if anything, all that juggling is making me super organised!
